Pain, Mental Illness and Addictive Behaviours Workshop

February 25, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Functional Gains, Behaviour Change and Addiction Risk Minimisation.

The Workshop

Functional Gains, Behaviour Change and Addiction Risk Minimisation.

Awaiting ESSA Accreditation (7 CPD points)

A unique, first of its kind, workshop that explores the commonalities between pain, mental illness and addictive behaviours. This workshop/webinar provides you with an in-depth understanding of the ins and outs of habit development leading to addiction and teaches key strategies to ensure successful functional gains.

The modules explore invaluable insights and strategies to utilise in clinical and non-clinical settings, discussing everything from the early identification and recognition of addictive habits, to the current neurobiology research, through to the unpacking of societal stigma, through a change in language. Further, a fast, effective screening tool will be introduced, together with brief intervention techniques.

The Pain, Mental Illness and Addictive Behaviours workshop blends educational and practical sessions so that you leave armed with effective and proven strategies to improve your practice, irrespective of whether you are in a corporate, public, or healthcare setting. This is an ideal workshop for professional development and also personal development.
