Paediatric telehealth – perspectives from research and practice

ASSBI FREE Webinar on Paediatric Telehealth
This presentation will explore the research bases for telehealth with paediatric populations with a focus on assessment of cognition, language and literacy skills in children with diverse needs, including ADHD, autism and language and learning disorders. Practical considerations for working with this population via telehealth will be discussed.
Rebecca Sutherland is the senior speech pathologist at the Child Development Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and is an assistant professor in Speech Pathology at the University of Canberra. She has a PhD from Griffith University focused on telehealth for diverse learners, including children with autism. Rebecca’s research and clinical interests include autism, literacy and telehealth.
Antoinette Hodge is a senior clinical neuropsychologist at the Child Development Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead with over 20 years experience. She has clinical and research experience in delivering cognitive and literacy assessments via telehealth to children.
